Descripciòn

Enolase 1/ENO1 Proteins, as a glycolytic enzyme, convert 2-phosphoglycerate to phosphoenolpyruvate and have diverse roles in cellular processes like growth control, hypoxia tolerance, and allergic responses. They also function in the fibrinolytic system and stimulate immunoglobulin production, showing their involvement in immune responses. Enolase 1/ENO1 Protein, Mouse (His) is the recombinant mouse-derived Enolase 1/ENO1 protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-10*His labeled tag.

Background

Enolase 1 (ENO1) is a glycolytic enzyme responsible for catalyzing the conversion of 2-phosphoglycerate to phosphoenolpyruvate. Beyond its role in glycolysis, ENO1 plays a multifaceted role in various cellular processes, including growth control, hypoxia tolerance, and allergic responses. Notably, it functions in the intravascular and pericellular fibrinolytic system by acting as both a receptor and activator of plasminogen on the cell surface, observed in diverse cell types such as leukocytes and neurons. Additionally, ENO1 exhibits the capacity to stimulate immunoglobulin production, further highlighting its involvement in immune responses.

≥ 90%, as determined by reducing SDS-PAGE.

Appearance

Lyophilized powder.

Formulation

Lyophilized from a 0.22 μm filtered solution of 10 mM Tris-HCl, 1 mM EDTA, 6% trehalose, pH 8.0.
Note: For SPR assay, please replace the buffer. Primary amine components (e.g., Tris, imidazole) can affect protein-coupled chips.

<1 EU/μg, determined by LAL method.

Reconstitution

It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/mL in ddH2O.

Storage & Stability

Stored at -20°C for 2 years from date of receipt. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for longer (with carrier protein). It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage.

Envío

Room temperature in continental US; may vary elsewhere.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.

  • Specific Activity Calculator

The reconstitution calculator equation

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration

The dilution calculator equation

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)

This equation is commonly abbreviated as: C1V1 = C2V2

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)
× = ×
C1   V1   C2   V2

The specific activity calculator equation

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)
Unit/mg = 106 ÷ ng/mL
