Biological Activity

Description

Low density lipoprotein receptor-related protein associated protein 1 interacts with the low density lipoprotein (LDL) receptor-related protein and facilitates its proper folding and localization by preventing the binding of ligands.LRPAP1 Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His) is the recombinant mouse-derived LRPAP1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

Background

Low density lipoprotein receptor-related protein associated protein 1 ( LRPAP1) interacts with the low density lipoprotein (LDL) receptor-related protein and facilitates its proper folding and localization by preventing the binding of ligands. LRPAP1 is a widely expressed gene that encodes low density lipoprotein receptor-related protein-associated protein 1, a 357 amino acid protein that is thought to act as a chaperone that binds and protects the lipoprotein receptor-related proteins LRP1 and LRP2[1][2][3][4].

Verified Bioactivity

Immobilized Mouse LRPAP1 at 2 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind Biotinylated Mouse VLDLR protein (HY-P78049). The ED50 for this effect is < 0.6 nM.

Reconstitution

It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/mL in ddH2O. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% BSA, 5% HSA, 10% FBS or 5% Trehalose).

Storage & Stability

Stored at -20°C for 2 years from date of receipt. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for longer (with carrier protein). It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage.

Shipping

Room temperature in continental US; may vary elsewhere.
