4-Methyl-5-nitrocatechol 5-monooxygenase (EC 1.14.13.210) is an oxidoreductase that can catalyze multiple reactions, including reaction 1: convert 4-methyl-5-nitrocatechol, NADPH and O2 into 2-hydroxy-5-methylquinone, nitrite, NADP+, H2O and H+; reaction 2: convert 4-methyl-5-nitrocatechol, NADH and O2 into 2-hydroxy-5-methylquinone, nitrite, NAD+, H2O and H+.
