Antifungal agent 153
Antifungal agent 153, a derivative of Blasticidin S (HY-103401A), is an antibacterial agent. Antifungal agent 153 retains the antibacterial activity of Blasticidin S, exhibits potent inhibitory effects against multidrug-resistant Gram-positive bacteria, and significantly reduces mammalian cytotoxicity. Antifungal agent 153 can be used in studies related to bacterial infections.

Biological Activity
Antifungal agent 153 (Compound 40) exhibits significant antimicrobial activity against a variety of Gram-positive pathogens, with an MIC of 16 μg/mL against MRSA USA300, MRSE 35984, E. faecalis 29212, and VRE NR-31972; it also shows activity against the Gram-negative K. pneumoniae, with an MIC of 86 μg/mL[1].
Antifungal agent 153 exhibits significantly reduced cytotoxicity against mammalian cells, with a CC50 value greater than 256 μg/mL[1].
Antifungal agent 153 (5×-10× MIC; 24 h) exhibits bactericidal activity against MRSA USA300, enabling complete bacterial eradication[1].
