Benzyl trimethyl ammonium tribromide provides controlled bromide ions, enabling efficient cyclization and oxidation while minimizing side reactions caused by excess bromine. Benzyl trimethyl ammonium tribromide can be used in the synthesis of 2-aminobenzothiazole compounds.
