Biological Activity: Calcitonin, porcine inhibits 1,25 (OH)2D3-stimulated porcine osteoclast differentiation. Calcitonin is a polypeptide hormone that can lower serum calcium by decreasing calcium reabsorption in the kidney and inhibiting osteoclastic bone resorption.
