Chitin synthase-IN-16
Chitin synthase-IN-16 is a competitive Chitin synthase 2 inhibitor with an IC50 of 20.89 μM against CaChs2. Chitin synthase-IN-16 synergistically enhances the activity of Fluconazole (HY-B0101) against Fluconazole-tolerant Candida albicans. Chitin synthase-IN-16 can be used for research on invasive fungal infections.

Biological Activity
Description
In Vitro
Chitin synthase-IN-16 (Compound Mol_1) (0.1-1000 μM; 2 h) inhibits the chitin synthase activity of CaChs2 in the crude enzyme preparation with an IC50 of 20.89 μM[1].
Chitin synthase-IN-16 alone (4-512 μM; 24 h) shows no significant antifungal activity against isolated Candida albicans strains (MIC > 512 μM)[1].
Chitin synthase-IN-16 (64-128 μM; 24 h) exhibits strong synergistic antifungal activity with Fluconazole (HY-B0101) against isolated Candida albicans strains, with an FIC index of 0.16, reducing cell viability to below 5% when 128 μM Chitin synthase-IN-16 is combined with 32 μM FZ[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
