Dapagliflozin keto impurity (Oxo-dapagliflozin) is an off-white amorphous solid, which is prepared via multi-step chemical synthesis using methoxyoxo-dapagliflozin as the starting material with a yield of 80%. Its structure is confirmed by NMR and HRMS[1].
Dapagliflozin keto impurity is obtained by hydrolyzing tetraacetyl oxo dapagliflozin with LiOH·H2O. The reaction proceeds at 20-30°C for 16 h, with a yield of 84%[1].
