Ethyl cellulose (viscosity 10 cP)
Ethyl cellulose (viscosity 10 cP) is a non-toxic, biodegradable polymer with unique properties such as oleogel formation, active ingredient delivery, and film-forming ability in the food and pharmaceutical fields. Ethyl cellulose (viscosity 10 cP) can serve as a pharmaceutical excipient, including as a coating agent, flavoring agent, and tablet filler.

Biological Activity
Ethyl cellulose (viscosity 10 cP) can form porous Captopril (HY-B0368) microcapsules; with the increase in core-to-wall material ratio and viscosity grade, the tensile strength of the prepared tablets gradually increases[1].
Ethyl cellulose (viscosity 10 cP) derivative with PEO content exhibits low viscosity, high electrical conductivity and low surface tension after being dissolved in 90% ethanol aqueous solution; therefore, it cannot form stable and continuous electrospun fibers, but instead produces irregular particles and ultrafine fibers[2].
Ethyl cellulose (viscosity 10 cP) (with a coating weight gain of 2.5-15%) forms a uniform, defect-free film on the surface of drug-loaded multiparticles of Metoprolol tartrate (HY-17503B) and Acetaminophen (HY-66005); in addition, the coating efficiency exceeds 84%[3].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
