Octyl decyldimethyl ammonium chloride (present in QAC#1) (1-5% w/w; topical; single exposure; 4 h), induces moderate skin irritation in female C57BL/6 N mice, with a mean total irritation score of 1.7 and significant epidermal thickening in most treated animals[1].
