Background
4-1BB (Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor Superfamily Member 9/TNFRSF9) is a cell surface receptor belonging to the TNF receptor superfamily. Primarily expressed on activated T cells, it plays a key role in immune responses. Upon binding to its ligand, 4-1BBL, it activates signaling pathways that enhance T cell proliferation and survival.
