Biological Activity
Description
ADH1 Protein, Geobacillus thermodenitrificans (His, Strep) is the recombinant ADH1, expressed by E. coli, with Strep, His labeled tag.
Background
ADH1 is a long-chain alkyl alcohol dehydrogenase capable of oxidizing a wide range of alkyl alcohols, from ethanol to 1-triacontanol (C2 to C30), as well as 1,3-propanediol and acetaldehyde. Its preferred substrate is ethanol, and it also oxidizes glycerol.
