Background
Selectin P ligand, also known as SELPLG or CD162, is a high-affinity antagonistic receptor for P-selectin on myeloid cells and stimulated T lymphocytes. SELPLG, as a member of the selectin family, is mainly expressed in some immune or inflammatory cells. SELPLG deficiency affects myeloid differentiation and lymphocyte maturation and therefore has important implications for cell differentiation. SELPLG can be used as an immune checkpoint modulator and maybe a new target for cancer therapy[1][2].
