CSDE1 is an RNA-binding protein involved in translationally coupled mRNA turnover. It collaborates with other RNA-binding proteins in the cytoplasmic deadenylation/translational and decay interplay of FOS mRNA mediated by the major coding-region determinant of instability (mCRD) domain. Additionally, CSDE1 is required for efficient formation of stress granules. by similar: Its function relates to the cooperative role of other RNA-binding proteins in mRNA metabolism regulation.
