Biological Activity

Description

DBNL Protein, Human (HEK293, His, Strep) is the recombinant human-derived DBNL, expressed by HEK293 , with Strep, His labeled tag.

Background

DBNL is an adapter protein that binds F-actin and DNM1, playing a role in receptor-mediated endocytosis. It regulates actin cytoskeleton reorganization, cell projection formation (e.g., neurites), neuron morphogenesis, and synapse formation via interactions with WASL and COBL. DBNL does not bind G-actin or promote actin polymerization independently. It may act as a common effector in leukocyte antigen receptor-signaling pathways (By similarity) and serves as a key component of the immunological synapse, linking TCRs to the actin cytoskeleton to modulate T-cell activation, gene induction, and endocytic processes.
