E/Envelope Protein, Dengue virus 4 (395a.a, sf9, His)

Cat. No.: HY-P74190
COA Handling Instructions

The NS1 protein plays a key role in viral budding, association with cell membranes, and facilitating the assembly of viral RNA into nucleocapsids to form mature viral particles. During entry, NS1 induces genome penetration into the host cytoplasm. E/Envelope Protein, Dengue virus 4 (395a.a, sf9, His) is the recombinant Virus-derived E/Envelope protein, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with C-His labeled tag. The total length of E/Envelope Protein, Dengue virus 4 (395a.a, sf9, His) is 395 a.a., with molecular weight of ~44.8 kDa.

Background

The NS1 protein assumes a pivotal role in virus budding by binding to the cell membrane, facilitating the assembly of the viral RNA into a nucleocapsid that forms the core of a mature virus particle. During virus entry, NS1 may induce genome penetration into the host cytoplasm following hemifusion induced by surface proteins. Notably, NS1 exhibits the ability to migrate to the cell nucleus, where it modulates host functions. Additionally, NS1 counteracts the antiviral effects of host EXOC1 by sequestering and degrading EXOC1 through the proteasome degradation pathway. Furthermore, NS1 disrupts RNA silencing by interfering with host Dicer, highlighting its multifaceted role in manipulating both viral and host cellular processes throughout the infection cycle.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.

  • Specific Activity Calculator

The reconstitution calculator equation

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration
= ÷

The dilution calculator equation

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)

This equation is commonly abbreviated as: C1V1 = C2V2

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)
× = ×
C1   V1   C2   V2

The specific activity calculator equation

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)
Unit/mg = 106 ÷ ng/mL
