Biological Activity

Description

FCN2 Protein, Human (P.pastoris, His) is the recombinant human-derived FCN2, expressed by P. pastoris , with N-6*His labeled tag.

Background

FCN2 is a protein that may function in innate immunity by activating the lectin complement pathway. It exhibits calcium-dependent and GlcNAc-binding lectin properties. Research indicates that FCN2 enhances neutrophil phagocytosis of S.typhimurium, suggesting an opsonic effect mediated through its collagen region. by similar: Other lectins with similar functions may participate in immune defense through analogous mechanisms.
