Description
FSH beta Protein, Cynomolgus (HEK293, His) is the recombinant cynomolgus-derived FSHB protein, expressed by HEK293, with C-His tag.
Background
FSHB, together with the alpha chain CGA, forms follitropin (follicle-stimulating hormone) and confers biological specificity to the hormone heterodimer. It binds FSHR, a G protein-coupled receptor, on target cells to activate downstream signaling pathways. Follitropin is involved in follicle development and spermatogenesis in reproductive organs (by similarity).
