HGF Protein, Cynomolgus (HEK293)

Cat. No.: HY-P75809
COA Handling Instructions

HGF Protein, a potent mitogen, stimulates mature hepatocyte growth and exhibits hepatotrophic properties for various tissues. It acts as an activating ligand for the receptor tyrosine kinase MET, promoting dimerization upon binding. Structurally, HGF Protein comprises alpha and beta chains linked by a disulfide bond. Additionally, it interacts with SRPX2, enhancing HGF's mitogenic activity. HGF Protein, Cynomolgus (HEK293) is the recombinant cynomolgus-derived HGF protein, expressed by HEK293 , with tag free. The total length of HGF Protein, Cynomolgus (HEK293) is 728 a.a., with molecular weight of ~89 & 58 & 34 & 32 kDa, respectively.

Background

HGF Protein is a potent mitogen that stimulates the growth of mature parenchymal hepatocyte cells and exhibits hepatotrophic properties. It also acts as a growth factor for various tissues and cell types. HGF Protein functions as an activating ligand for the receptor tyrosine kinase MET, promoting its dimerization upon binding. Structurally, HGF Protein is composed of an alpha chain and a beta chain that are linked together by a disulfide bond. Additionally, HGF Protein interacts with SRPX2, leading to an increased mitogenic activity of HGF.

Biological Activity

1.Measured by its ability to inhibit TGFß1 activity on Mv-1-lu mink lung epithelial cells and the ED50 is 1-10 ng/mL.
2. Immobilized HGF Protein, Cynomolgus, Recombinant at 2 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind c-MET Protein, Cynomolgus, Rhesus, Recombinant (His Tag), the EC50 is 60-240 ng/mL.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.

  • Dilution Calculator

  • Specific Activity Calculator

The reconstitution calculator equation

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration
= ÷

The dilution calculator equation

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)

This equation is commonly abbreviated as: C1V1 = C2V2

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)
× = ×
C1   V1   C2   V2

The specific activity calculator equation

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)
Unit/mg = 106 ÷ ng/mL
