KYNU/Kynureninase Protein, Mouse (sf9, His)

Customer Review

Based on 1 Customer Validation

KYNU, also known as Kynureninase protein, catalyzes the conversion of L-kynurenine and L-3-hydroxykynurenine into anthranilic acid and 3-hydroxyanthranilic acid, respectively. It displays a preference for the L-3-hydroxy form and possesses cysteine-conjugate-beta-lyase activity as well. KYNU/Kynureninase Protein, Mouse (sf9, His) is the recombinant mouse-derived KYNU/Kynureninase protein, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with C-His labeled tag.

Biological Activity

Description

KYNU, also known as Kynureninase protein, catalyzes the conversion of L-kynurenine and L-3-hydroxykynurenine into anthranilic acid and 3-hydroxyanthranilic acid, respectively. It displays a preference for the L-3-hydroxy form and possesses cysteine-conjugate-beta-lyase activity as well. KYNU/Kynureninase Protein, Mouse (sf9, His) is the recombinant mouse-derived KYNU/Kynureninase protein, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with C-His labeled tag.

Background

The KYNU protein, known as Kynureninase, plays a pivotal role in the breakdown of L-kynurenine (L-Kyn) and L-3-hydroxykynurenine (L-3OHKyn), converting them into anthranilic acid (AA) and 3-hydroxyanthranilic acid (3-OHAA) correspondingly. It exhibits a specific affinity for the L-3-hydroxy form and possesses additional cysteine-conjugate-beta-lyase activity.

Verified Bioactivity

Measured by its ability to oxidize 3-hydroxykynurenine. The specific activity is > 100 pmoles/min/μg.
