LRRFIP1 is a transcriptional repressor that preferentially binds to GC-rich sequences (5'-AGCCCCCGGCG-3') and may regulate the expression of TNF, EGFR, and PDGFA. Existing as a homodimer, LRRFIP1 may also form higher-order oligomers, and it interacts with FLII and MYD88, competing with FLII for MyD88-binding, even in the absence of lipopolysaccharide (LPS).
