Biological Activity
Description
MGP Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived MGP, expressed by E. coli , with C-6*His labeled tag. ,
Background
MGP is a protein that associates with the organic matrix of bone and cartilage and is thought to act as an inhibitor of bone formation.
Verified Bioactivity
1.Measured in a cell proliferation assay using HT-29 cells. The ED50 for this effect is 61.07 ng/mL, corresponding to a specific activity is 1.637×104 Unit/mg.
2.Recombinant Human Vitronectin immobilized on CM5 Chip can bind Human MGP with an affinity constant of 0.1-1.0 μM as determined in a SPR assay.
