MMP-10 Protein, Human (HEK293)

MMP-10 protein is a member of the matrix metalloproteinase family and plays a crucial role in extracellular matrix remodeling by promoting the degradation of various substrates. As a protease, MMP-10 is involved in tissue homeostasis, wound healing, and inflammatory responses. MMP-10 Protein, Human (Active, HEK293) is the recombinant human-derived MMP-10 protein, expressed by HEK293, with tag free.

Description

MMP-10 protein is a member of the matrix metalloproteinase family and plays a crucial role in extracellular matrix remodeling by promoting the degradation of various substrates. As a protease, MMP-10 is involved in tissue homeostasis, wound healing, and inflammatory responses. MMP-10 Protein, Human (Active, HEK293) is the recombinant human-derived MMP-10 protein, expressed by HEK293, with tag free.

Background

MMP-10, also known as Stromelysin-2 or transin-2, is classified into the simple hemopexin domain structural class. MMP-10 has a relatively broad substrate specificity, including proMMPs, ECM proteins, proteoglycans, glycoproteins, and collagens. Unlike several other MMPs that are localised predominantly in tumor stroma, tumor cells themselves appear to express MMP-10. MMP-10 is a potential tumor marker[1].
