Description

MYO3A Protein, Human (Active, sf9, His, GST, Strep) is the recombinant human-derived MYO3A, expressed by sf9 insect cells , with Strep, His, GST labeled tag. ,

Background

MYO3A is an actin-dependent motor protein with protein kinase activity, playing a crucial role in hearing. It likely also contributes to vision and is essential for normal cochlear hair bundle development and auditory function. This protein is involved in the early stages of cochlear hair bundle morphogenesis, influencing the number and length of stereocilia while restricting microvilli growth within developing auditory hair bundles, thereby shaping their staircase-like architecture. Additionally, MYO3A facilitates actin elongation at stereocilia tips by transporting the actin regulatory factor ESPN to the plus ends of actin filaments. by similar: Its functions are closely tied to actin dynamics and the precise structural regulation of auditory hair bundles.
