Description

TRF1 protein is a telomere-binding protein that plays a crucial role in telomere maintenance and chromosome stability. It is involved in regulating telomere length and preventing DNA damage. PDGFRB Protein, Human (Biotinylated, HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived PDGFRB Protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

Background

The PDGFRB Protein encodes a cell surface tyrosine kinase receptor that interacts with members of the platelet-derived growth factor family, known mitogens for cells of mesenchymal origin. The identity of the growth factor binding to a receptor monomer determines whether the functional receptor forms a homodimer (with PDGFB or PDGFD) or a heterodimer (with PDGFA and PDGFB). Essential for normal cardiovascular system development and the rearrangement of the actin cytoskeleton, this gene is flanked on chromosome 5 by the genes for granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor and macrophage-colony stimulating factor receptor, with all three potentially implicated in the 5-q syndrome. A translocation between chromosomes 5 and 12, resulting in the fusion of this gene with that of the ETV6 gene, leads to chronic myeloproliferative disorder with eosinophilia. Broadly expressed, the PDGF R beta gene exhibits elevated levels in the gall bladder (RPKM 79.5), placenta (RPKM 61.0), and 21 other tissues, indicating its involvement in diverse physiological contexts across multiple organs.

Verified Bioactivity

1.This product does not contain protein kinase domain.
2.Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized biotinylated human PDGFRb-His at 10 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind Cynomolgus PDGFB-Fc, The EC50 of Cynomolgus PDGFB-Fc is 10-80 ng/mL.
