Tyrosine Hydroxylase Protein, Mouse (sf9, His)

Customer Review

Based on 1 Customer Validation

Tyrosine hydroxylase protein is a key catalyst in the biosynthesis of catecholamines, including dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine, and oversees the conversion of L-tyrosine to L-dihydroxyphenylalanine (L-Dopa) , which is the critical and rate-limiting step pathway in synthesis.Tyrosine Hydroxylase Protein, Mouse (sf9, His) is the recombinant mouse-derived Tyrosine Hydroxylase protein, expressed by sf9 insect cells , with N-His labeled tag.

Description

Tyrosine hydroxylase protein is a key catalyst in the biosynthesis of catecholamines, including dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine, and oversees the conversion of L-tyrosine to L-dihydroxyphenylalanine (L-Dopa) , which is the critical and rate-limiting step pathway in synthesis.Tyrosine Hydroxylase Protein, Mouse (sf9, His) is the recombinant mouse-derived Tyrosine Hydroxylase protein, expressed by sf9 insect cells , with N-His labeled tag.

Background

Tyrosine hydroxylase is an enzyme that plays a pivotal role in the biosynthesis of catecholamines, including dopamine, noradrenaline, and adrenaline. It catalyzes the rate-limiting step in this pathway, converting L-tyrosine to L-dihydroxyphenylalanine (L-Dopa) through the use of tetrahydrobiopterin and molecular oxygen. While its primary substrate is tyrosine, tyrosine hydroxylase also exhibits lower specificity and can hydroxylate phenylalanine and tryptophan. This enzymatic activity is essential for the synthesis of neurotransmitters involved in various physiological processes. Moreover, tyrosine hydroxylase has been found to positively regulate the regression of retinal hyaloid vessels during postnatal development, indicating its diverse roles beyond catecholamine biosynthesis.

Product Properties

Appearance

Lyophilized powder.

Formulation

Lyophilized from a 0.22 μm filtered solution of 20 mM Tris-HCl, 500 mM NaCl, pH 7.4, 10% Glycerol.
Note: For SPR assay, please replace the buffer. Primary amine components (e.g., Tris, imidazole) can affect protein-coupled chips.

Endotoxin Level

<1 EU/μg, determined by LAL method.

Reconstitution

It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/mL in ddH2O. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% BSA, 5% HSA, 10% FBS or 5% Trehalose).

Storage & Stability

Stored at -20°C for 2 years from date of receipt. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for longer (with carrier protein). It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage.

Shipping
