Phytuberol is an antibacterial agent and unsaturated sesquiterpene alcohol. As a phytoalexin, phytuberol participates in plant defense responses by inhibiting the growth of pathogenic fungi (e.g., Phytophthora infestans, Helminthosporium spp.).
