H-Tyr-OMe.HCl is an amino acid derivative and also a coordinating ligand for Cu II ions. H-Tyr-OMe.HCl can serve as a surface functionalization reagent for carbon dots, and is used to prepare fluorescent probes for biothiol sensing.
