Copper (II) pyrithione exerts cytotoxic effects on pancreatic cancer cells and osteosarcoma cells. Copper (II) pyrithione exhibits antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria and some Gram-negative bacteria. Copper (II) pyrithione can synergistically enhance the activity of β-lactam antibiotics against β-lactam-resistant bacteria. Copper (II) pyrithione can be used in studies related to pancreatic cancer, osteosarcoma and bacterial infections .
