Tetrabutylammonium chloride (IPC-TBA-Cl) is an organic compound commonly used as a catalyst and as an ionic liquid. It can be used to catalyze or promote reactions in certain organic reactions, and is widely used in batteries, solar cells and pigments. In addition, the compound is also used for metallization, silver plating and electroplating of circuit boards.
