1,2-Cyclohexylenedinitrilotetraacetic acid
Based on 1 Customer Validation
1,2-Cyclohexylenedinitrilotetraacetic acid (CDTA) is a chelating agent. 1,2-Cyclohexylenedinitrilotetraacetic acid has an ability to remove manganese from brain and liver (in vivo) and their sub-cellular fractions (in vitro), of rats pretreated with manganese sulphate.

Biological Activity
1,2-Cyclohexylenedinitrilotetraacetic acid is an analogue of EDTA, with the vinyl group replaced by a cyclohexenyl group and the two aminoacetic acid groups in a trans configuration. 1,2-Cyclohexylenedinitrilotetraacetic acid exhibits stronger lipophilicity and pre-organization ability, and forms more stable complex with metal ions[2].
