12-O-β-D-Glucopyranosyloxyjasmonic acid (compound 4) inhibits rat lens aldose reductase, with an inhibition rate of 77% at 100 μM and 22% at 10 μM[1].
12-O-β-D-Glucopyranosyloxyjasmonic acid binds to the active site of aldose reductase with a predicted binding energy of -14.58 kcal/mol, forming hydrogen bonds with Tyr48, His110, and Trp111[1].
