9-Propenyladenine (2.18 mM; 5.00 mM methyl iodide; 18 hr at room temperature) undergoes alkylation with methyl iodide in N,N-Dimethylformamide (HY-Y0345) at room temperature for 18 hr to form 1-methyl-9-propenyladenine hydriodide with a 57% yield, and the product exhibits defined spectral, physical, and compositional properties[1].
