IC50 & Target[1]

α‑glucosidase

In Vitro

α-Glucosidase-IN-109 (Compound 2l) (50 min) potently inhibits α-glucosidase from Saccharomyces cerevisiae, with an IC50 value of 0.0136 μM[1].
α-Glucosidase-IN-109 exhibits good metabolic stability in human and rat liver microsomes, with half-lives of 135.8 min and 52.1 min, respectively[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

In Vivo

α-Glucosidase-IN-109 (Compound 2l) (15 mg/kg; oral gavage; 4 weeks) exhibits beneficial effects in a type 2 diabetic mouse model[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: KM (male, 4 weeks old, 16-20 g, T2DM model via high-fat diet + STZ (HY-13753) injection)[1]
Dosage: 15 mg/kg
Administration: oral gavage; daily; 4 weeks
Result: Significantly reduced fasting blood glucose.
Attenuated weight loss.
Improved glucose tolerance, reduced serum TC, TG, LDL-C levels, increased HDL-C levels.
Reduced serum ALT and AST levels (restoring liver function) and decreased serum CRE and BUN levels (reducing renal injury).
Elevated insulin concentration.
Restored liver tissue architecture (reduced vacuolization, inflammatory cell infiltration, and hepatocyte hypertrophy) on HE staining.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
