Biological Activity
Antibacterial agent 368 (compound 4y) exhibits mild antibacterial activity against Enterococcus faecalis, Bacillus subtilis, Salmonella typhi, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli in vitro, producing inhibition zone diameters ranging from 6 to 7 mm at a concentration of 500 µg/mL[1].
Antibacterial agent 368 inhibits the growth of Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella typhi and Escherichia coli in vitro, with an MIC of 1024 µg/mL; it shows weak activity against Enterococcus faecalis (MIC > 1024 µg/mL); its MBC against Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Salmonella typhi is 1024 µg/mL, with an MBC/MIC ratio of 1[1].
Antibacterial agent 368 exhibits dose-dependent in vitro antibacterial activity against Bacillus subtilis; when the concentration increases from 512 µg/mL to 2048 µg/mL, the diameter of the inhibition zone increases from 6 mm to 10 mm[1].
