Antifungal agent 159 binds tightly to the active sites of exo-β-(1,3)-glucanase, topoisomerase II-DNA-nucleotide, dihydrofolate reductase, sterol 14-α demethylase and chitin synthase. Antifungal agent 159 can be used in studies related to phytopathogenic fungal infections.

Biological Activity
Antifungal agent 159 (compound 8) (5 days) exhibits broad-spectrum antifungal activity against phytopathogenic fungi Fusarium oxysporum, Fusarium semitectum, Alternaria solani, and Rhizoctonia solani[1].
Antifungal agent 159 (0.63-7.5 mg/mL; 6 days) inhibits mycelial growth of Rhizoctonia solani with an IC50 of 3.43 mg/mL, MIC 为 7.5 mg/kg[1].
