Description

Cholinesterase, Horse serum infers to acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyryl cholinesterase (BChE). AChE and BChE catalyze the hydrolysis of 6-MAM to morphine^[1].

In Vitro

Organophosphates (OPs) and carbamates can irreversibly inhibit ChE activity, and these inhibitors can be utilized in the development of pesticides and neurotoxic agents.
Galanthamine (HY-76299) and Physostigmine (HY-N6608) inhibit ChE activity in a reversible manner by competitively binding to the enzyme, making them useful for studying Alzheimer's disease.
