1. Metabolic Enzyme/Protease
  2. Creatine Kinase
  3. Cyclocreatine phosphate dilithium

Cyclocreatine phosphate dilithium is a synthetic intracellular energy buffer. Cyclocreatine phosphate dilithium mediates antiproliferative activity in cells with high creatine kinase levels and inhibits solid tumor growth. Cyclocreatine phosphate dilithium maintains adenosine triphosphate (ATP) levels and protects tissues from hypoxia, cellular damage and inflammation during ischemic events. Cyclocreatine phosphate dilithium accumulates in skeletal muscle, reduces muscle phosphocreatine and total creatine levels, and acts both as a bioenergetic/anti-inflammatory agent and an experimental tool for the assessment of ischemic injury. Cyclocreatine phosphate dilithium can be used in studies related to solid tumors, heart failure and ischemia.

Description

Cyclocreatine phosphate dilithium can be used in studies related to solid tumors, heart failure and ischemia[1][2][3].

In Vitro

Cyclocreatine phosphate (dilithium) is taken up by and inhibits the growth of high-CK solid tumor cell lines, with antiproliferative specificity and potency similar to cyclocreatine[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

In Vivo

Cyclocreatine phosphate (0.4-1.2 g/kg/day; intraperitoneal injection; administered daily for 14 consecutive days) dilithium prevents isoproterenol (HY-B0468)-induced heart failure in rats or restores function in functionally impaired hearts[2].
Cyclocreatine phosphate (0.8 g/kg/day; intraperitoneal injection; administered daily for 14 consecutive days) dilithium shows no cardiotoxicity in healthy Wistar rats, with all tested cardiac parameters remaining normal[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: Wistar (adult male, 6-8 weeks old, 180-220 g; isoproterenol-induced heart failure); Wistar albino (adult male, 170-190 g; isoproterenol-induced heart failure)[2]
Dosage: 0.4 g/kg/day (prophylactic); 0.8 g/kg/day (prophylactic, therapeutic, toxicity control); 1.2 g/kg/day (prophylactic)
Administration: i.p.; daily; 14 days (prophylactic, therapeutic, toxicity control); i.p.; daily; 14 days starting 1 h after second isoproterenol dose (therapeutic)
Result: Prophylactically prevented isoproterenol-induced heart failure in rats.
Resuscitated poorly functioning hearts, with all doses restoring ejection fraction, reducing cardiac biomarkers and remodeling, and maintaining normal physical activity without cardiac toxicity.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
