IL-9 Protein, Mouse (CHO), derived from CHO cell, is a member of the TH2 cytokine family.IL-9 Protein, Mouse (CHO, His) has recently been implicated as an essential factor in determining mucosal immunity and susceptibility to atopic asthma.
Interleukin 9 (IL-9) is cytokine produced by a subgroup of helper T cells, known as Th2 cells. IL-9 signals through its receptor IL-9R to induce cell proliferation and survival. Genetically, IL-9 has been identified as a gene associated with asthma.Human interleukin-9 (IL-9) was originally identified and cloned based on its stimulatory effect on proliferation of human myeloid cell line, M07e. IL-9 synergized with Steel factor, the ligand for the c-kit product, to stimulate M07e cell proliferation[1]
Measured in a cell proliferation assay using MO7e human megakaryocytic leukemic cells. The ED50 for this effect is 3.339 ng/mL, corresponding to a specific activity is 3.0×105 units/mg.
