D-myo-Inositol-3,4,5-triphosphate hexasodium binds to recombinant rat type 1, type 2, and type 3 IP3 receptors expressed in Sf9 cells with lowest affinity for type 1 (Kd = 31706 nM), highest affinity for type 2 (Kd = 3019 nM), and intermediate affinity for type 3 (Kd = 11145 nM), exhibiting subtype selectivity for type 2 receptors[1].
