FNT12
FNT12 is a synthetic heterocyclic derivative of 1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine that exhibits narrow-spectrum antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. FNT12 possesses antibiofilm activity and free radical-scavenging antioxidant activity. FNT12 is predicted to bind to the Pseudomonas aeruginosa quorum-sensing protein LasR. FNT12 can be used in research on Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection.

In Vitro
FNT12 (24 h) exhibits potent narrow-spectrum activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa with an MIC of 5.00 μg/mL, while showing almost no inhibitory activity against Enterococcus faecalis, Streptococcus mutans, and Escherichia coli[1].
FNT12 (MIC value; 24 h) exhibits potent antibiofilm activity, disrupting up to 44.32% of preformed Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilms[1].
FNT12 (30 min) exhibits moderate antioxidant activity in DPPH radical scavenging assays and ABTS radical scavenging assays[1].
FNT12 (computational molecular docking and 50 ns molecular dynamics simulation) stably binds to the pocket of the Pseudomonas aeruginosa quorum-sensing protein LasR; MM-GBSA predicts a binding free energy of -14.47 kcal/mol, and the complex stability is maintained by extensive π-π stacking, π-alkyl, and carbon-hydrogen bond hydrophobic interactions[1].
