Description

Gallocatechin-3-O-(3''-O-methyl)-gallate (GCG3''Me) is a catechin polyphenol. Gallocatechin-3-O-(3''-O-methyl)-gallate inhibits histamine release. Gallocatechin-3-O-(3''-O-methyl)-gallate can be used in allergy-related studies[1].

In Vitro

Gallocatechin-3-O-(3″-O-methyl)-gallate (GCG3″Me) (50 μg/mL; 20 min pre-incubation prior to 10 min antigen stimulation) inhibits histamine release from antigen-stimulated murine bone marrow mast cells (BMMC) by 32.6%[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
