Magnolol-C4-TPP bromide
Magnolol-C4-TPP bromide is a mitochondria-targeted magnolol derivative with cytotoxic activity against cancer cells. Magnolol-C4-TPP bromide increases ROS levels and slightly reduces mitochondrial membrane potential in colon cancer cells. Magnolol-C4-TPP bromide can be used in the research of colorectal cancer, liver cancer, and breast cancer.

Biological Activity
Magnolol-C4-TPP bromide (Compound MT1) (48 h) potently inhibits the proliferation of SW480, CT26, HCT116, HepG2 and MDA-MB-231 cancer cells, with IC50 values of 8.23, 8.51, 3.28, 6.25 and 4.35 μM after 48 h of incubation[1].
Magnolol-C4-TPP bromide (4 μM; 24 h) increases intracellular ROS levels in SW480 cells after 24 h of incubation[1].
Magnolol-C4-TPP bromide (4 μM; 24 h) slightly reduces the mitochondrial membrane potential of SW480 cells after 24 h of incubation[1].
