N-butyl-N-methyl-piperidinium bromide is a quaternary ammonium compound belonging to the class of piperidinium salts. N-butyl-N-methyl-piperidinium bromide is commonly used as a phase transfer catalyst in organic synthesis to transfer reactants between immiscible phases. It can also be used as a surfactant, corrosion inhibitor and antibacterial agent.
