PtdIns-(4,5)-P2-biotin (DOPI-4,5-P2-biotin) sodium is a biotin-labeled phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PIP2) derivative. PtdIns-(4,5)-P2-biotin sodium uses a biotin tag to capture and purify natural PIP2 molecules and their interacting proteins.

Biological Activity
The structure of PtdIns-(4,5)-P2-biotin sodium contains two key parts that work synergistically:
Biotin: Provides extremely strong specific binding affinity to streptavidin and avidin.
PtdIns-(4,5)-P2: Responsible for specific binding to target proteins within the cell (such as kinase PI3Kγ, phosphatase PTEN, or proteins containing a PH domain).
