Description
ABP1/AOC1 Protein, Human (HEK293, His), a recombinant human Amiloride-binding protein 1 produced in HEK293 cells, has a His tag at the C-terminus. Amiloride-binding protein 1 is a membrane-associated amine oxidase and mainly metabolizes histamine and putrescine[1].
Background
Amiloride-binding protein 1 (Abp1), also called diamine oxidase, is a membrane-associated amine oxidase and mainly metabolizes histamine and putrescine. Plasma Abp1 has been proposed to be of value as an indicator of fetoplacental integrity[1].
Verified Bioactivity
Measured by its ability to produce hydrogen peroxide during the oxidation of histamine. The specific activity is 168.23 pmol/min/μg.
