Biological Activity
Description
ACY3 Protein, Human (His) is human recombinant ACY3 with a N-terminal His tag. ACY3 Protein, Human (His) plays an important role in deacetylating mercapturic acids in kidney proximal tubules[1][2].
Background
ACY3 (Aspartoacylase 3) is an aspartoacylase, and locates at 11q13.2. The length of its sequence is 959 bases, encoding 319aa. ACY3 plays an important role in deacetylating mercapturic acids in kidney proximal tubules. ACY3 mediates deacetylation of N-acetyl-Lamino acids to give fatty acids and amino acids as products. ACY3 also deacetylated N-acetyl-L-histidine and N-acetyl-L-methionine. ACY3 is capable of binding to HCV core protein[1][2].
