AMY2A Protein, Human (HEK293, His)
Based on 1 Customer Validation
AMY2A is a hydrolytic enzyme secreted by the pancreas that can hydrolyze α- 1,4-glycosidic bond, belonging to α- Members of the amylase family. AMY2A plays an important role in digesting dietary starch, and inhibiting AMY2A can lead to a decrease in postprandial blood glucose levels. Therefore, by regulating α- Amylase activity to control blood sugar level has therapeutic significance for diabetes, obesity and other diseases. AMY2A Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived AMY2A protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

Background
AMY2A is a hydrolytic enzyme secreted by the pancreas that can hydrolyze α- Enzymes with 1,4-glycosidic bonds, belonging to α- Members of the amylase family. AMY2A plays an important role in digesting dietary starch, and inhibiting AMY2A can lead to a decrease in postprandial blood glucose levels. Therefore, by regulating α- Amylase activity to control blood sugar level has therapeutic significance for diabetes, obesity and other diseases[1].
Verified Bioactivity
Measured by its ability to release maltose from starch, that incubate at 40°C for 10minutes. The specific activity is 30000-50000 pmol/min/µg.
