BCA-1/CXCL13 Protein, Human (His)
Based on 1 Customer Validation
The BCA-1/CXCL13 protein selectively attracts B lymphocytes without affecting T lymphocytes, monocytes, or neutrophils. Unlike other chemokines, it does not induce calcium release from B lymphocytes. BCA-1/CXCL13 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived BCA-1/CXCL13 protein, expressed by E. coli, with N-His labeled tag.

Storage:Stored at -20°C for 2 years from date of receipt. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for longer (with carrier protein). It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage.
Biological Activity
Description
The BCA-1/CXCL13 protein selectively attracts B lymphocytes without affecting T lymphocytes, monocytes, or neutrophils. Unlike other chemokines, it does not induce calcium release from B lymphocytes. BCA-1/CXCL13 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived BCA-1/CXCL13 protein, expressed by E. coli, with N-His labeled tag.
Background
The BCA-1/CXCL13 protein acts as a selective chemotactic factor for B-lymphocytes, distinguishing its effects from T-lymphocytes, monocytes, and neutrophils. Unlike other chemokines, it does not induce calcium release in B-lymphocytes. Its specificity for B-lymphocytes is evidenced by its binding to BLR1/CXCR5, emphasizing its role in orchestrating B-cell migration. This selectivity in chemotactic function and receptor binding positions BCA-1/CXCL13 as a key regulator in the immune system, contributing to the precise recruitment and activation of B-lymphocytes within the cellular microenvironment.

Product Properties
Lyophilized powder.
Lyophilized from a 0.22 μm filtered solution of PBS, pH 7.4, 10% trehalose.
<1 EU/μg, determined by LAL method.
It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/mL in ddH2O. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% BSA, 5% HSA, 10% FBS or 5% Trehalose).
Stored at -20°C for 2 years from date of receipt. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for longer (with carrier protein). It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage.
Room temperature in continental US; may vary elsewhere.
