CD42c/GP1BB Protein, Mouse (HEK293, Fc)

CD42c/GP1BB protein on platelets actively forms plugs by engaging with anchored von Willebrand factor. This involves disulfide-linked GP-Ib subunits, forming the GP-Ib heterodimer. GP-IX enhances receptor stability through a non-covalent linkage. Molecularly, CD42c's similarity to TRAF4 suggests a role in regulating the platelet function's regulatory network. CD42c/GP1BB Protein, Mouse (HEK293, Fc) is the recombinant mouse-derived CD42c/GP1BB protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-hFc labeled tag.

Description

CD42c/GP1BB protein on platelets actively forms plugs by engaging with anchored von Willebrand factor. This involves disulfide-linked GP-Ib subunits, forming the GP-Ib heterodimer. GP-IX enhances receptor stability through a non-covalent linkage. Molecularly, CD42c's similarity to TRAF4 suggests a role in regulating the platelet function's regulatory network. CD42c/GP1BB Protein, Mouse (HEK293, Fc) is the recombinant mouse-derived CD42c/GP1BB protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-hFc labeled tag.

Background

CD42c, a surface membrane protein found on platelets, actively contributes to the formation of platelet plugs by engaging with von Willebrand factor (vWF), which is already anchored to the subendothelium. This process involves the disulfide-linked association of two GP-Ib beta subunits with one GP-Ib alpha subunit, collectively forming the GP-Ib heterodimer. Additionally, GP-IX is intricately associated with the GP-Ib heterodimer through a non-covalent linkage, enhancing the overall stability and functionality of this platelet surface receptor. In molecular interactions, CD42c exhibits a similarity to its association with tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor 4 (TRAF4), suggesting a role in the regulatory network governing platelet function.
